Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PageBolt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

PageBolt is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) API platform that provides:

  • Screenshot capture services for web pages and HTML content
  • PDF generation from URLs or HTML
  • OG (Open Graph) image generation for social media previews

The Service is accessible at pagebolt.dev and via our API endpoints. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Keeping your contact information up to date

You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or billing restrictions.

4. API Usage & Rate Limits

Your use of the Service is subject to rate limits and usage quotas based on your subscription plan:

  • Free Plan: 100 requests per month, 10 requests per minute
  • Starter Plan: 5,000 requests per month, 60 requests per minute
  • Growth Plan: 25,000 requests per month, 120 requests per minute
  • Scale Plan: 100,000 requests per month, 300 requests per minute

Rate limits are enforced per API key. Exceeding your rate limit will result in HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) responses. Monthly quotas reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. If you exceed your monthly quota, API calls will return HTTP 402 (Payment Required) until you upgrade your plan or wait for the next billing cycle.

You authenticate API requests using an API key provided in your account dashboard. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure and must not share them publicly or commit them to version control systems.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose. Specifically, you must not:

  • Use the Service to capture, generate, or distribute illegal content, including but not limited to content that violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • Use the Service to scrape or harvest private data from websites without proper authorization
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or harm our infrastructure, including but not limited to denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests, or attempts to bypass rate limits
  • Use the Service to access or capture content that requires authentication without proper authorization
  • Use the Service to generate content that is defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or violates any applicable laws
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our express written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Billing & Payments

PageBolt uses usage-based billing through Stripe. Our pricing plans are:

  • Free: $0/month — 100 requests/month included
  • Starter: $29/month — 5,000 requests/month included
  • Growth: $79/month — 25,000 requests/month included
  • Scale: $199/month — 100,000 requests/month included

Billing occurs monthly in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. If you upgrade or downgrade your plan, prorated charges or credits will be applied to your next billing cycle.

You must provide valid payment information through Stripe. If payment fails, we may suspend your account until payment is received. You are responsible for all taxes applicable to your use of the Service.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, APIs, documentation, and content, is owned by PageBolt and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, but you grant us a license to use, process, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Outputs generated by the Service (screenshots, PDFs, images) belong to you, subject to your compliance with these Terms. However, you are responsible for ensuring that the source content you provide to the Service does not infringe on third-party rights.

You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand names without our prior written consent.

8. Service Availability & SLA

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we'll provide advance notice when possible)
  • Unscheduled maintenance or emergency fixes
  • Third-party service outages or dependencies
  • Force majeure events beyond our control

For Scale plan subscribers, we provide a Service Level Agreement (SLA) guaranteeing 99.9% uptime. If we fail to meet this SLA, you may be eligible for service credits as outlined in your plan details.

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from factors beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet service provider failures.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAGEBOLT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription in your account dashboard or contacting us at support@pagebolt.dev.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
  • You fail to pay fees when due
  • We suspect fraudulent or illegal activity
  • We discontinue the Service (in which case we'll provide reasonable notice)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period, but you are responsible for exporting any data you need before termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your account or through a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PageBolt operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, as applicable.
